Kelsey was, in a word, mad. She was mad at her mother for sending her to this horrible place, mad at the owner of this place for not letting people drink alcohol and mad at herself for getting addicted in the first place. "Stupid Mother," Kelsey muttered, hitting a tennis ball over the net. She picked up another one and hit it again. "Stupid owner," she muttered. Kelsey grabbed another tennis ball and in a fit of anger, hit it so hard that it hit the person who had been walking by. Mouth dropping, Kelsey gasped. She walked over to the person she hit. "I am SO sorry!" she said.

I laughed, holding my arm where the ball had hit me. "It's okay," I smiled shaking my head. I bent down to pick up the towels I'd dropped and smiled at her after standing back up. "I'm Wynter."

Kelsey bit the inside of her cheek, still feeling terrible. "I'm Kelsey," she said. She noticed all the towels Wynter was carrying and raised one perfectly waxed eyebrow. "Going swimming?" she asked.

I looked down at the towels. "Uhh, no." I decided I'd just go along with what I'd told that guy. "I'm filling in for the towel girl, my therapist thinks it'll be good for me or something."

Kelsey nodded, not really believing the girl. "Oh," she said. "Okay..." What a strange way to get over an addiction, Kelsey thought, tossing a tennis ball in the air. "Can I have a towel, then?"

"Mhm." I said handing her one. I had a pretty good feeling she didn't believe me, but what does it really matter?

Kelsey draped the towel over her shoulders and bounced the tennis ball on the ground. "So..why are you here?" Kelsey asked. "Like, your addiction or whatever."

"Drinker." I said smoothly.

Kelsey nodded her head. "Ohh," she said. "Me too." I'm also a smoker and if I'm really out of it, cocaine is great, Kelsey added mentally.

I nodded. "It's tough, huh?"

Kelsey nodded her head. "Yeah," she said. "I think I'd be out sooner if it weren't for the fact that I hate my therapist."

I tilted my head to the side. "Oh really? Who is it?"

"Doctor Meloni," Kelsey answered, rolling her eyes at his name. He's probably not even a doctor, Kelsey thought. He's just in this cause he can make fun of people and earn money for it. Jerk. She looked at Wynter and nodded. "He sucks as a therapist," she said.

"Oh." I replied shortly. Doctor Meloni had been one of the first therapists to speak with me when I first started working here, he was a pretty nice person too.

Kelsey nodded her head, then sighed. "Well...wanna play a game of tennis with me?" she asked. She was really tired of being alone, so the idea of hanging with someone other than a therapist sounded amazing to her.
